(Austin) – Central Health-affiliated CommUnityCare Health Centers is opening two new COVID vaccine sites – one in Manor and one in Pflugerville – while continuing to support Travis County’s mass vaccination hub, which is moving to the Travis County Expo Center Friday.
The Central Texas Counties Vaccine Collaborative is moving from Circuit of The Americas (COTA) to the Travis County Expo Center at 7311 Decker Lane. A clinic is scheduled for this weekend from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. for anyone over the age of 16, with or without an appointment. The clinic will provide first doses only on Friday, May 7, and both first and second doses on Saturday, May 8.
“With numerous no-appointment, no-cost and no-ID options, we’re making it as easy as possible for every Travis County resident to get vaccinated,” said Jaeson Fournier, CommUnityCare CEO. “Data shows the highest risk communities have disproportionately lower rates of vaccination, but we are working with partners to change that quickly by eliminating as many barriers as possible.”
Manor
The Manor Vaccine Clinic, located at 600 W Carrie Manor St. in the Senior Center Building, is now open to anyone 18 or older on Wednesdays from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. with or without an appointment.
