In a recent visit to Austin, U.S. Surgeon General Vivek Murthy offered a simple solution to how people can live healthier lives: Walk. Be kind. Instead of seeing exercise and eating healthy as a chore, we can work to find ways of making it fun and preferred. Adults can also lead by example in the way they treat others, helping to establish a culture of kindness with importance put on emotional well-being.

A new study shows that Texans are significantly more likely than adults nationwide to report difficulty seeing a doctor in the past two years. Almost 1 in 5 people in Texas say it’s gotten harder to see a doctor, and an uneven expansion of Obamacare within the state may be to blame.
