Second option to fund Rio Grande medical school heads to committee

A bill approved last Wednesday for $3.1 billion to benefit higher education construction and renovations unfortunately did not include either the new Rio Grande Valley or Austin medical schools. The Rio Grande school is still facing challenges in terms of funding, while the Austin school will be funded partially by Central Health.
