Using risk factors like poverty and lack of access to education, researchers at the Dell Medical School have been mapping “hot spots” in Travis County for child maltreatment and neglect to inform experts offering services and solutions.

A report from the Department of Health and Human Services projects that the cost of health care this year will surpass $10,000 per person; a record high. This means that the cost of health care spending is projected to grow at a faster rate than the nation economy in the next ten years.
Austin homelessness group wins $1.1 million in federal funding
